Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Utilities and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 10.00% or 2.90 points to trade at 31.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) added 6.39% or 8.95 points to end at 149.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was up 4.60% or 6.55 points to 149.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were S2M (CS:S2M), which fell 4.25% or 11.00 points to trade at 248.00 at the close. Risma (CS:RIS) declined 3.42% or 4.00 points to end at 113.00 and Agma Lahlou-Tazi (CS:AGMA) was down 3.30% or 89 points to 2610.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 22 to 18 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.36% or 0.17 to $47.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $50.68 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1227.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8220, while USD/MAD fell 0.48% to 9.8950.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 99.16.
