Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms Services and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which rose 1.84% or 2.55 points to trade at 141.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 0.98% or 0.320 points to end at 32.950 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 0.81% or 0.72 points to 89.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB), which fell 3.91% or 14.97 points to trade at 367.51 at the close. Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) declined 3.14% or 1.470 points to end at 45.280 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) was down 3.12% or 6.33 points to 196.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 155 to 142 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Arca Continental, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.84% or 2.55 to 141.27.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.38% or 17.29 to $1239.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.13% or 0.06 to hit $47.60 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.13 to trade at $50.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.31% to 18.8274, while EUR/MXN fell 0.08% to 20.4956.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 99.22.
