Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Telecoms Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC), which rose 3.32% or 4.43 points to trade at 137.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Elektra , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) added 2.74% or 18.42 points to end at 689.58 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) was up 2.57% or 0.560 points to 22.370 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which fell 1.97% or 0.39 points to trade at 19.36 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 1.27% or 0.300 points to end at 23.340 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was down 1.21% or 0.380 points to 31.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 137 to 123 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.83% or 10.45 to $1266.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.82% or 0.89 to hit $49.79 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.36% or 0.70 to trade at $52.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.07% to 18.5175, while EUR/MXN fell 0.23% to 20.6994.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 97.36.
