Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which rose 3.27% or 0.0139 points to trade at 0.4394 at the close. Meanwhile, Brembo (MI:BRBI) added 1.95% or 1.35 points to end at 70.70 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 1.18% or 0.33 points to 28.41 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 4.98% or 0.510 points to trade at 9.740 at the close. Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) declined 3.50% or 0.164 points to end at 4.516 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was down 2.70% or 0.3900 points to 14.0600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 190 to 167 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Brembo (MI:BRBI) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.95% or 1.35 to 70.70.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.59% or 0.30 to $50.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.67% or 0.36 to hit $53.17 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1254.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0657, while EUR/GBP rose 0.60% to 0.8539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 100.47.
