Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 1.87% or 174 points to trade at 9499 at the close. Meanwhile, Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) added 1.46% or 0.8 points to end at 55.5 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 1.25% or 240.0 points to 19460.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT), which fell 1.53% or 76 points to trade at 4877 at the close. Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) declined 1.30% or 330 points to end at 25020 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.29% or 7.2 points to 550.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 235 to 161 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $48.98 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.51 to trade at $1233.01 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.60% to 3.5767, while EUR/ILS rose 0.64% to 4.1027.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 94.94.
