Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Cellcom (TA:CEL), which rose 3.28% or 118 points to trade at 3717 at the close. Meanwhile, Partner (TA:PTNR) added 3.27% or 58 points to end at 1831 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 3.03% or 266 points to 9035 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which fell 1.17% or 300 points to trade at 25440 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 1.04% or 230 points to end at 21970 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) was down 0.96% or 23 points to 2379.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 319 to 98 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.03% or 266 to 9035. Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) fell to all time lows; losing 0.96% or 23 to 2379.
Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $50.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.40% or 1.26 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.27 to trade at $1255.07 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.40% to 3.5800, while EUR/ILS rose 0.58% to 4.0134.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.79% at 97.00.
