Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 6.37% or 138 points to trade at 2303 at the close. Meanwhile, Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) added 4.10% or 820.0 points to end at 20830.0 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) was up 1.58% or 151 points to 9716 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Partner (TA:PTNR), which fell 2.17% or 40 points to trade at 1801 at the close. Cellcom Israel Ltd (TA:CEL) declined 2.05% or 72 points to end at 3437 and Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.95% or 10.7 points to 537.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 202 to 185 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.58% or 151 to 9716. Shares in Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.95% or 10.7 to 537.0.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.10% or 0.51 to $46.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.17% or 0.57 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.79 to trade at $1241.11 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.00% to 3.5689, while EUR/ILS fell 0.32% to 4.1102.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.56.
