Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Communication and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN), which rose 5.05% or 116.00 points to trade at 2,415.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) added 4.58% or 227.00 points to end at 5,187.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR) was up 4.49% or 6,460.00 points to 150,300.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which fell 4.52% or 1,470.00 points to trade at 31,050.00 at the close. Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) declined 2.19% or 14.10 points to end at 630.00 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TASE:FIBI) was down 1.11% or 140.00 points to 12,510.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 275 to 189 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.52% or 1,470.00 to 31,050.00. Shares in Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.19% or 14.10 to 630.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.42% or 0.28 to $66.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.33% or 0.24 to hit $72.73 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 9.35 to trade at $1,982.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.02% to 3.67, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 3.93.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 102.96.
