Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which rose 3.19% or 1850 points to trade at 59850 at the close. Meanwhile, Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) added 2.87% or 164 points to end at 5883 and Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:FATTAL) was up 2.83% or 1180 points to 42840 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Strauss Group (TASE:STRS), which fell 2.30% or 250 points to trade at 10600 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) declined 1.48% or 49 points to end at 3256 and Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO) was down 1.18% or 990 points to 83160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 230 to 160 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.42% or 1.98 to $59.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 3.52% or 2.26 to hit $66.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 12.25 to trade at $1412.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.32% to 3.5543, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 4.0011.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 96.710.
