Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Transportation & Logistics and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.11%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.53%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG), which rose 7.38% or 1.310 points to trade at 19.070 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) added 3.59% or 0.635 points to end at 18.345 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) was up 2.94% or 0.254 points to 8.905 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG), which fell 1.96% or 3.250 points to trade at 162.150 at the close. Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) declined 1.66% or 3.45 points to end at 204.55 and SAP SE (DE:SAPG) was down 1.09% or 1.030 points to 93.630.
The top performers on the MDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which rose 16.38% to 95.2000, Wacker Chemie O.N. (DE:WCHG) which was up 9.97% to settle at 86.94 and Fielmann AG (DE:FIEG) which gained 4.28% to close at 57.200.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (DE:NEKG) which was down 3.27% to 112.300 in late trade, RTL Group SA (DE:RRTL) which lost 3.26% to settle at 54.850 and Axel Springer SE (DE:SPRGn) which was down 2.68% to 57.125 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Dialog Semiconductor (DE:DLGS) which rose 5.97% to 24.6900, Steinhoff International Holdings NV (DE:SNHG) which was up 4.95% to settle at 0.12 and Stabilus (DE:STAB) which gained 4.64% to close at 62.00.
The worst performers were RIB Software AG Na (DE:RIB) which was down 3.14% to 14.800 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:S92G) which lost 2.91% to settle at 20.000 and Corestate Capital Holding SA (DE:CCAG) which was down 2.49% to 37.1500 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 258 and 26 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 8.37% to 20.59.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.73% or 21.00 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.69% or 1.76 to hit $63.55 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.17% or 2.39 to trade at $73.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.1397, while EUR/GBP fell 1.01% to 0.8788.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 96.21.
