Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.34%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which rose 1.37% or 1.08 points to trade at 79.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Danone SA (PA:DANO) added 1.25% or 0.79 points to end at 64.00 and Nokia Oyj (PA:NOKIA) was up 1.24% or 0.063 points to 5.151 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Total SA (PA:TOTF), which fell 1.50% or 0.70 points to trade at 46.05 at the close. Kering SA (PA:PRTP) declined 1.42% or 3.40 points to end at 236.75 and BNP Paribas SA (PA:BNPP) was down 1.05% or 0.63 points to 59.65.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (PA:GEPH) which rose 2.25% to 6.3500, Eurazeo (PA:EURA) which was up 2.21% to settle at 61.51 and Zodiac Aerospace (PA:ZODC) which gained 2.09% to close at 22.75.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications (PA:ETL) which was down 3.29% to 19.98 in late trade, Ingenico Group (PA:INGC) which lost 3.08% to settle at 92.08 and SES (PA:SESFd) which was down 2.39% to 19.16 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 321 to 300 and 102 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurazeo (PA:EURA) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.21% or 1.33 to 61.51.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was up 25.25% to 12.53.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.29% or 3.55 to $1233.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.49% or 0.24 to hit $49.07 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.76 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.0743, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8697.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 100.16.
