Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.15%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which rose 1.78% or 3.30 points to trade at 189.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Thales (EPA:TCFP) added 1.58% or 1.85 points to end at 118.85 and Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) was up 1.56% or 0.45 points to 29.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 3.08% or 1.77 points to trade at 55.63 at the close. BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) declined 1.29% or 0.69 points to end at 52.62 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) was down 1.25% or 2.80 points to 221.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Ipsen SA (EPA:IPN) which rose 4.90% to 109.10, La Francaise Des Jeux Sa (EPA:FDJ) which was up 2.99% to settle at 36.86 and Ipsos (EPA:ISOS) which gained 2.48% to close at 53.70.
The worst performers were Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which was down 13.23% to 9.97 in late trade, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which lost 9.40% to settle at 6.71 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which was down 5.79% to 9.85 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Ipsos (EPA:ISOS) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.48% or 1.30 to 53.70.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 5.25 to $1,744.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.54% or 0.43 to hit $80.47 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.73% or 0.64 to trade at $88.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 107.47.
