Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.83% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.01% or 0.095 points to trade at 9.460 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.53% or 0.22 points to end at 41.43 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.13% or 0.05 points to 39.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 4.04% or 0.290 points to trade at 6.892 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.16% or 0.91 points to end at 27.87 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 2.87% or 0.1520 points to 5.1500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 47 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.61% or 1.21 to $74.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.67% or 0.46 to hit $68.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.00 to trade at $1267.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.33% to 1.1692, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8812.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 94.04.
