Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V), which rose 6.18% or 1.81 points to trade at 31.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) added 5.26% or 1.11 points to end at 22.22 and Sampo Oyj A (HEL:SAMAS) was up 3.99% or 1.68 points to 43.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which fell 3.04% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.91 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 1.42% or 0.0320 points to end at 2.2200 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was down 1.16% or 0.21 points to 17.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 129 to 46 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.42% or 0.0320 to 2.2200. Shares in Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.16% or 0.21 to 17.88.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.09% or 0.04 to $48.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.80% or 0.36 to hit $45.27 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.74% or 8.50 to trade at $1145.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1196, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.7378.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 96.41.
