Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 2.13% or 0.53 points to trade at 25.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.83% or 0.41 points to end at 22.83 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELI1V) was up 1.81% or 0.60 points to 33.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 4.28% or 0.142 points to trade at 3.178 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.61% or 0.08 points to end at 4.95 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 1.61% or 0.0540 points to 3.2920.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 83 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 1.88% or 0.77 to $40.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.31% or 0.91 to hit $38.48 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.26% or 15.40 to trade at $1237.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1255, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.7833.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 95.44.
