Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 11.89% or 935 points to trade at 8800 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 11.87% or 970 points to end at 9140 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 2.68% or 6.7 points to 256.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which fell 5.60% or 3.50 points to trade at 59.05 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 1.95% or 2.5 points to end at 125.5 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) was down 0.38% or 0.5 points to 129.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 104 to 37 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.69% or 0.34 to $49.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.36 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.70 to trade at $1264.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 6.5573, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4421.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 93.54.
