Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which rose 9.71% or 114.5 points to trade at 1293.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) added 7.03% or 65.8 points to end at 1002.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was up 3.15% or 6.3 points to 206.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM), which fell 9.81% or 52.0 points to trade at 478.0 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 9.43% or 524 points to end at 5034 and ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) was down 5.55% or 4.16 points to 70.86.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.81% or 52.0 to 478.0. Shares in Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) rose to all time highs; rising 7.03% or 65.8 to 1002.0. Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 9.43% or 524 to 5034. Shares in ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) fell to all time lows; falling 5.55% or 4.16 to 70.86.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 21.94% or 4.57 to $25.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 13.26% or 3.30 to hit $28.18 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.35 to trade at $1479.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 2.00% to 6.9837, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.49% at 103.055.
