Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 1.66% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.48% or 85.0 points to trade at 2530.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 1.16% or 100.0 points to end at 8750.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was up 0.88% or 60.0 points to 6860.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 8.56% or 800.0 points to trade at 8550.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 4.81% or 940.0 points to end at 18620.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was down 3.96% or 60.0 points to 1455.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 20 to 9 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.81% or 940.0 to 18620.0. Shares in Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) fell to all time lows; losing 3.96% or 60.0 to 1455.0.
US coffee C for December delivery was down 3.23% or 4.50 to $134.62 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.85% or 26.00 to hit $3100.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 1.52% or 17.00 to trade at $1133.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.19% to 3003.70, while BRL/COP fell 0.48% to 860.76.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.59% at 96.41.
