Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 1.06% or 90.0 points to trade at 8590.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.41% or 80.0 points to end at 19580.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 0.35% or 5.0 points to 1415.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which fell 2.43% or 380.0 points to trade at 15280.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 1.61% or 480.0 points to end at 29420.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was down 1.50% or 40.0 points to 2630.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 17 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.79% or 5.10 to $129.47 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 1.16% or 24.00 to hit $2085.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.81% or 10.19 to trade at $1248.51 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.57% to 2925.67, while BRL/COP fell 5.91% to 864.02.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 97.73.
