Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Real Estate and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 1.01% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were ALL America Latina Logistica SA (SA:RUMO3), which rose 5.33% or 0.240 points to trade at 4.740 at the close. Meanwhile, Fibria Celulose SA (SA:FIBR3) added 5.03% or 1.60 points to end at 33.40 and Cia Energetica de Minas Gerais (SA:CMIG4) was up 3.87% or 0.21 points to 5.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Bradesco SA (SA:BBDC4), which fell 5.00% or 1.20 points to trade at 22.80 at the close. Estacio Participacoes SA (SA:ESTC3) declined 4.74% or 0.54 points to end at 10.86 and Petroleo Brasileiro SA (SA:PETR4) was down 4.06% or 0.34 points to 8.04.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange by 165 to 147 and 31 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 1.17% to 40.49.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1218.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.83% or 0.41 to hit $48.92 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 0.26% or 0.32 to trade at $121.60 .
USD/BRL was up 0.94% to 3.6058, while EUR/BRL rose 0.94% to 4.0142.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.83.
