Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were EcoRodovias SA (SA:ECOR3), which rose 4.82% or 0.58 points to trade at 12.61 at the close. Meanwhile, CCR SA (SA:CCRO3) added 3.92% or 0.62 points to end at 16.45 and Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA:USIM5) was up 3.74% or 0.32 points to 8.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CPFL Energia SA (SA:CPFE3), which fell 4.62% or 0.97 points to trade at 20.02 at the close. RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3) declined 2.07% or 0.27 points to end at 12.75 and Kroton Educacional SA (SA:KROT3) was down 1.60% or 0.29 points to 17.83.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange by 225 to 206 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in CPFL Energia SA (SA:CPFE3) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.62% or 0.97 to 20.02.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.30% to 33.60.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.62% or 7.92 to $1281.12 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.57% or 0.90 to hit $58.30 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract rose 0.86% or 1.10 to trade at $129.67 .
USD/BRL was down 0.44% to 3.2584, while EUR/BRL fell 0.53% to 3.8749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 92.84.
