Michael Burry, the well-known "Big Short" investor, warned that recent positive earnings reports might be the last for a while as economic uncertainty continues.

Burry, the founder of hedge fund Scion Capital, is famous for being one of the first investors to predict and profit from the subprime mortgage crisis. He has become increasingly bearish on current market conditions, previously warning that inflation poses a fresh threat to markets and that geopolitical tensions, labor shortages, and supply chain difficulties would "raise long-term inflation's floor."

On Tuesday, Burry tweeted, "these earnings reports and by Jove the whole season have a 'Last Hurrah' feel."

The Scion Capital founder did not point to a specific company. Still, the tweet was posted following earnings reports from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Google parent company Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL), whose shares gained following the releases.

Burry's tweet was, as expected, deleted shortly after being posted, something the hedge fund founder has a habit of.
