The company was founded in 1947 and is headquartered in Elmsford, New York. On January 17, 2023, Party City Holdco Inc., along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Most stocks are like these, these days. If a company is accruing debt, the incentive for the managers seem to be to take it bankrupt. Make a deal for cushy exit packages, instead of trimming staff to save expenses.

1$ long term but the short squeeze is about to kick in and no telling how high it will go when the short sellers try to buy back to cover their shorts. and no ones selling.

only question is will the common share survive. Depends on how much dedt they will convert to equity. If they go down the route of the whole(nobody does this) then no equity left for commons share. This should mean common share will still survive, they will reverse split 100:1 and carry it over to the new shares. Given the Market cap is at $19million, the shares already reflect this and much more. Given if they wipe out the whole common shares they face legal challenges it will be much easier to turn this measely 19 Million over to the new equity. I would say the share will carry forward a value of 0.40$. Its my guess or opinion.

Party City is in trouble and the selling is far from over. The gamble is very risky but that won't stop some from remaining in love. The .50's are right near and some will keep selling until the company can give one reason to hold on to the ****knife. No fun for sure.
