Look at dec. contracts. It´s not just Hedge funds and traders, who buy/sell wheat contracts.  They are actually made for anything else, than papertrade. Countries can´t eat paper.

Apologies for the late response but I had no internet access where I am.  In July I mentioned that the 17-19th of August was the next turning point. Wheat declined into this time frame so we are searching for a low. In terms of price, I noted that if the market makes a weekly low at $438 on the December futures contract we will good price and time summetry. Wheat made a low at $438.75. So, the numbers are there. I went long today close to that number. Keep in mind that the long-term trend is DOWN. So I am just looking only for a bounce. I will use  a tight stop loss below this week's low. If the market moves against me I will simply close my position. Remember that anything is possible, so the market can just keep falling. Nevertheless, if it does so, I will not go short because I am not interested to sell something that has lost 30% without even the minimum reaction. The risk/reward is not attractive to me.

The volumes are too low for a great breakout.
