Gold Futures Overview

"Gold is a precious metal that has been used throughout history as both a currency and a store of value. In that aspect, gold is considered both a commodity and a currency and is used as insurance against currencies and market fluctuations. Gold price is a function of demand and reserves changes, and is less affected by means such as mining supply. Explore the tab-navigation section below for detailed financial information on Gold, including live price charts, forecasts, technical analysis, news, opinions, reports and user discussions."

I can't see things improving in Venuzuela they will never let in aid because they know like in Nicaragua weapons got snuggled in with the aid...so with sanctions now going in for 5 years and people suffering due to them it really only leaves another illegal invasion to get hands on their oil...this will be very positive for gold prices going forward

If they have so much oil, why don't they sell it make Venezuela great again with all the monies? You keep hinting on America I know, but you buffoons forget the real reason. America tries to help the people in need. America wants to make this earth a better place for humanity. No Scoffers Allowed on Earth like You and your Likes.

Its a hammer and a reverse hammer. It usually means turbulence and short term volatility. Option prices (spot straddles) suggest a $15 weekly swing. I expect this number to get higher.

it really doesn't matter if it goes up or down on Monday, gold hit bottom in late 2015, and in my opinion is on an overall up trend till late summer at least. think about it, the price of gold has more than quadrupled since 2005 and the demand for it has only increased and has no signs of decreasing anytime soon..as for Monday, I do think there is a 60% chance that gold will be red.

No moon shot... no 1500+... just a normal year Ross Norman of Sharps Pixley, London's top bullion broker, forecasts a tight range for gold; $1,280 on the downside, a $1,410 high and $1,337 average. Norman has been the most accurate forecaster in recent years coming in as the outright winner five times and a runner up four times. The winner of the 2015 competition who came within $1 of that year’s average, Bernard Dahdah of French investment bank Natixis, is more bullish about gold’s prospects in 2019 than in previous years, forecasting an average of $1,330.

Most analysts were forecasting a 1350 average for the year.  What that means to me is the price will gradually increase, with dips short lived, then a nice extended consolidation on the 1350-1375 range. I would gladly take that.

Glencore, the worlds largest coal producer, is changing their business model and is now capping annual production of coal. Glencore was almost bankrupt when Trump took office.  Trump was pumping up coal at that same time.  What a bozo sometimes..Glencore is now investing in Cobalt, Zinc and copper to focus on battery metals.  I'm thinking we will see another surge in uranium demand in the near future as countries, primarily China and India, wind down their coal plants to reduce carbon footprint/pollution..As well zinc is an immediate byproduct of silver mines. Silver is also heavily used in the electronic industry.  Just an fyi.
