Wall Street rises as materials and crypto stocks offset continued bond sell-off
Investing.com-- Wisetech Global (ASX:WTC) founder Richard White has stepped down as chair, handing the role to independent director Raelene Murphy with immediate effect, as the Australian logistics software company seeks to sharpen its focus on growth and succession planning.
White will remain on the board as an executive director and continue as chief innovation officer, while Murphy, who joined the board in January and became lead independent director in May, takes over as independent chair, the company said on Tuesday.

White said recent media attention surrounding allegations against him had become an unnecessary distraction for the company. He reiterated that he "strenuously and unequivocally" denies the allegations and said he remained fully committed to executing WiseTech's growth strategy.
The move follows weeks of scrutiny after media reports said the Australian Federal Police were investigating allegations that White exploited a woman's immigration status and provided false information in a visa application.
Murphy said shareholder feedback had reinforced the need for long-term succession planning while retaining White's experience and strategic insight in his executive role.
WiseTech said a board review into media-reported allegations concerning White, launched in late 2024 and completed in 2025 with advice from external law firms, had already been disclosed to the market.
The board said it would continue monitoring any new developments.
