Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Services, Real Estate & Construction and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General rose 1.09%, while the ADX General index added 0.60%.

The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA), which rose 14.40% or 0.18 points to trade at 1.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) added 3.62% or 0.025 points to end at 0.715 and Emaar Properties PJSC (DU:EMAR) was up 2.54% or 0.160 points to 6.460 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX), which fell 1.87% or 0.060 points to trade at 3.140 at the close. Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:AMAN) declined 1.47% or 0.009 points to end at 0.602 and Takaful Emarat PSC (DU:TKFE) was down 1.32% or 0.020 points to 1.490.

The top performers on the ADX General were Rak Cmt & Cons (AD:RAKC) which rose 13.85% to 1.48, Rak Ceramics (AD:RKCE) which was up 7.14% to settle at 3.60 and National Corp Tourism Hotels (AD:NCTH) which gained 5.26% to close at 4.00.

The worst performers were Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which was down 7.80% to 2.60 in late trade, Rak Properties (AD:RPRO) which lost 1.61% to settle at 0.610 and Nat Bk Qaiwain (AD:NBQ) which was down 1.33% to 2.96 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 19 to 7; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 15 rose and 7 declined, while 1 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.29% or 0.13 to $45.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.22% or 0.10 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.40 to trade at $1121.40 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was unchanged 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED fell 0.28% to 4.1223.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 96.22.
