Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Services, Consumer Staples and Finance & Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General gained 0.79%, while the ADX General index climbed 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which rose 5.46% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.930 at the close. Meanwhile, Amlak Finance PJSC (DU:AMLK) added 3.39% or 0.040 points to end at 1.220 and Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:ARTC) was up 3.10% or 0.040 points to 1.330 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emaar Malls (DU:EMAA), which fell 2.27% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.580 at the close. SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA) declined 1.63% or 0.020 points to end at 1.210 and Air Arabia PJSC (DU:AIRA) was down 0.78% or 0.010 points to 1.280.
The top performers on the ADX General were Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which rose 10.00% to 0.9900, Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which was up 3.85% to settle at 0.540 and Natl Bk Of Rak (AD:RAKB) which gained 3.47% to close at 5.07.
The worst performers were Rak Cement Co (AD:RKCC) which was down 2.63% to 0.740 in late trade, Gulf Pharm Ind (AD:GPHI) which lost 2.28% to settle at 2.140 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC (AD:ESHR) which was down 1.09% to 0.9100 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 22 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 15 rose and 7 declined, while 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.46% or 0.100 to 1.930. Shares in Rak Cement Co (AD:RKCC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.63% or 0.020 to 0.740.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.27% or 0.12 to $45.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.41% or 0.19 to hit $46.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.41% or 5.25 to trade at $1284.65 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was up 0.00% to 3.6731, while EUR/AED rose 0.04% to 4.0565.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 97.72.
