Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Banking, Real Estate & Construction and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 0.27%, while the ADX General index gained 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were SHUAA Capital PSC (DU:SHUA), which rose 4.28% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.560 at the close. Meanwhile, Emaar Properties PJSC (DU:EMAR) added 1.16% or 0.080 points to end at 6.950 and National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR) was up 0.83% or 0.010 points to 1.210 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Cement Company P.S.C. (DU:NCC), which fell 4.53% or 0.150 points to trade at 3.160 at the close. Takaful House (DU:DTKF) declined 3.08% or 0.017 points to end at 0.535 and Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA) was down 2.34% or 0.03 points to 1.25.
The top performers on the ADX General were Green Crs Ins (AD:GCIC) which rose 7.27% to 0.590, Arkan Bld Mt C (AD:ARKN) which was up 5.81% to settle at 0.91 and Dana Gas (AD:DANA) which gained 1.89% to close at 0.530.
The worst performers were Agthia Group (AD:AGTH) which was down 3.42% to 7.62 in late trade, National Marine Dredging PSC (AD:NMDC) which lost 2.91% to settle at 5.00 and Aldar Properti (AD:ALDR) which was down 1.59% to 2.48 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 16 to 11; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 14 rose and 5 declined, while 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in National Cement Company P.S.C. (DU:NCC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 4.53% or 0.150 to 3.160.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.89% or 0.88 to $47.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.50% or 0.74 to hit $50.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.90% or 10.70 to trade at $1176.80 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.02% to 3.6723, while EUR/AED fell 0.29% to 4.1699.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 94.76.
