Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Tourism, Electricity and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which rose 8.33% or 0.31 points to trade at 4.03 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) added 4.35% or 0.030 points to end at 0.720 and Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) was up 2.86% or 0.020 points to 0.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aksa Enerji (IS:AKSEN), which fell 2.30% or 0.070 points to trade at 2.970 at the close. Aygaz (IS:AYGAZ) declined 2.20% or 0.30 points to end at 13.33 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was down 1.83% or 0.18 points to 9.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 112 and 85 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.35% or 4.35 to $1252.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.09% or 0.56 to hit $51.71 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.51 to trade at $54.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 3.7025, while EUR/TRY rose 0.01% to 3.9463.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 100.58.
