Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 6.27% or 0.390 points to trade at 6.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Albaraka Turk (IS:ALBRK) added 4.61% or 0.070 points to end at 1.590 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was up 2.70% or 0.080 points to 3.040 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) declined 2.90% or 0.300 points to end at 10.050 and Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ) was down 2.70% or 0.020 points to 0.720.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 248 to 149 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1180.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.37% or 0.83 to hit $59.94 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.28% or 0.83 to trade at $64.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.65% to 2.7204, while EUR/TRY rose 0.80% to 3.0686.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 94.81.
