Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery, Transport and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.31% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ford Otosan (IS:FROTO), which rose 3.71% or 1.28 points to trade at 35.74 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) added 2.44% or 0.010 points to end at 0.420 and Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) was up 2.24% or 0.060 points to 2.740 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE), which fell 4.87% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.150 at the close. Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) declined 3.76% or 0.070 points to end at 1.790 and Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) was down 2.93% or 0.35 points to 11.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 189 to 154 and 62 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.35% or 4.35 to $1255.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.71% or 0.36 to hit $50.24 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.69% or 0.37 to trade at $53.16 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.22% to 3.6444, while EUR/TRY rose 0.25% to 3.8850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.46.
