Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Metal Products & Machinery, Insurance and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA), which rose 8.27% or 0.110 points to trade at 1.440 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) added 7.58% or 0.100 points to end at 1.420 and Parsan (IS:PARSN) was up 6.37% or 0.500 points to 8.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv (IS:KARSN), which fell 6.62% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.410 at the close. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 4.35% or 0.030 points to end at 0.660 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was down 2.98% or 0.27 points to 8.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 191 to 145 and 76 ended unchanged.
Shares in Parsan (IS:PARSN) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.37% or 0.500 to 8.350.
Gold for June delivery was up 1.73% or 21.40 to $1256.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.23% or 1.33 to hit $42.52 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 2.84% or 1.22 to trade at $44.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.48% to 2.8276, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 3.2161.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.50% at 93.98.
