Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ), which rose 8.45% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) added 7.10% or 1.030 points to end at 15.540 and Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) was up 6.59% or 0.280 points to 4.530 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which fell 1.43% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.750 at the close. Bim Magazalar (IS:BIMAS) declined 0.98% or 0.55 points to end at 55.85 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was down 0.83% or 0.010 points to 1.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 311 to 37 and 58 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.16% or 2.00 to $1290.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.94% or 0.50 to hit $52.68 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.46 to trade at $55.43 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 2.21% to 3.6649, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 3.9063.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 100.03.
