Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Tourism, Technology and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.55% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 4.76% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.320 at the close. Meanwhile, Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) added 4.65% or 0.060 points to end at 1.350 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.55% or 0.010 points to 0.230 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which fell 2.69% or 1.18 points to trade at 42.74 at the close. Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) declined 1.85% or 0.110 points to end at 5.850 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) was down 1.82% or 0.010 points to 0.540.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 109 and 87 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.74% or 9.30 to $1245.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.61% or 0.25 to hit $41.39 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.20 to trade at $41.40 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.18% to 2.8618, while EUR/TRY fell 0.44% to 3.2180.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 95.35.
