Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Electricity and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS), which rose 7.44% or 0.670 points to trade at 9.670 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 6.84% or 0.080 points to end at 1.250 and Do-Co (IS:DOCO) was up 6.17% or 15.00 points to 258.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which fell 5.05% or 0.360 points to trade at 6.770 at the close. Tupras (IS:TUPRS) declined 2.93% or 2.50 points to end at 82.80 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was down 2.56% or 0.010 points to 0.380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 198 to 134 and 74 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metro Holding (IS:METRO) rose to 5-year highs; up 6.84% or 0.080 to 1.250.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.74% or 9.15 to $1242.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.41% or 0.22 to hit $52.89 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.66% or 0.37 to trade at $55.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 3.6578, while EUR/TRY rose 0.72% to 3.9088.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 100.47.
