Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Tourism and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 10.62% or 1.07 points to trade at 11.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) added 4.81% or 0.480 points to end at 10.450 and Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) was up 3.96% or 0.090 points to 2.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which fell 3.51% or 0.200 points to trade at 5.500 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 3.41% or 0.070 points to end at 1.980 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was down 2.29% or 0.16 points to 6.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 174 to 172 and 60 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.18% or 2.15 to $1229.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $48.77 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $51.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.26% to 3.6155, while EUR/TRY fell 0.49% to 3.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 100.15.
