Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 8.70% or 5.40 points to trade at 67.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) added 8.23% or 0.130 points to end at 1.710 and Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS) was up 6.92% or 0.74 points to 11.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which fell 4.09% or 0.30 points to trade at 7.03 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) declined 3.85% or 0.05 points to end at 1.25 and Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) was down 3.31% or 0.050 points to 1.460.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 205 to 151 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; gaining 8.70% or 5.40 to 67.45.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.32% or 4.10 to $1285.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.46% or 0.71 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.65 to trade at $57.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.26% to 5.5020, while EUR/TRY rose 1.98% to 6.2957.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 95.488.
