Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Textile & Leather, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cemas Dokum Sanayi AS (IS:CEMAS), which rose 20.00% or 0.170 points to trade at 1.020 at the close. Meanwhile, Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS) added 9.33% or 0.99 points to end at 11.60 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was up 7.46% or 0.420 points to 6.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which fell 6.09% or 4.350 points to trade at 67.050 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) declined 4.55% or 0.060 points to end at 1.260 and Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) was down 3.00% or 0.32 points to 10.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 122 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 7.46% or 0.420 to 6.050.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.83% or 28.05 to $1557.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.87% or 1.58 to hit $53.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.52% or 0.89 to trade at $57.77 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.39% to 5.7238, while EUR/TRY fell 1.39% to 6.2767.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 98.953.
