Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Electricity, Information Technology and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which rose 10.27% or 0.420 points to trade at 4.510 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) added 5.94% or 0.120 points to end at 2.140 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was up 5.92% or 0.26 points to 4.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS), which fell 9.35% or 0.500 points to trade at 4.850 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) declined 2.74% or 0.470 points to end at 16.660 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) was down 2.13% or 0.240 points to 11.020.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 223 to 123 and 60 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.37% or 4.90 to $1324.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.15% or 1.36 to hit $62.03 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.17% or 0.78 to trade at $66.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.24% to 3.7786, while EUR/TRY fell 0.39% to 4.6489.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 89.97.
