Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Transport and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.34% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 9.59% or 0.210 points to trade at 2.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) added 7.06% or 0.91 points to end at 13.80 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was up 5.68% or 0.200 points to 3.720 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK), which fell 3.20% or 0.190 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) declined 3.19% or 0.210 points to end at 6.380 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was down 2.73% or 0.40 points to 14.27.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 170 to 167 and 70 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) rose to 3-years highs; rising 5.68% or 0.200 to 3.720. Shares in Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) fell to 3-years highs; losing 2.73% or 0.40 to 14.27.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.75% or 9.57 to $1278.17 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.62% or 1.68 to hit $44.78 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.57% or 1.74 to trade at $46.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.06% to 3.4818, while EUR/TRY fell 0.48% to 3.9274.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 96.43.
