Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 0.28% or 0.40 points to trade at 141.20 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 0.26% or 0.07 points to end at 27.14 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 0.17% or 0.3 points to 174.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which fell 3.92% or 1.76 points to trade at 43.18 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 2.25% or 1.11 points to end at 48.24 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 2.24% or 4.70 points to 205.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 439 to 174 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.25% or 1.11 to 48.24.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.12% or 0.06 to $50.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.40 to trade at $1258.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.22% to 9.7195, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 8.8010.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
