Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.50% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 0.11% or 0.30 points to trade at 285.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.04% or 0.05 points to end at 138.90 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.59% or 5.0 points to 846.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 5.06% or 1.26 points to trade at 23.63 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 4.13% or 27.0 points to end at 627.0 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 4.12% or 8.53 points to 198.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 517 to 138 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.06% or 1.26 to 23.63.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.64% or 2.08 to $55.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 3.61% or 2.21 to hit $59.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.92% or 13.95 to trade at $1528.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.71% to 10.7292, while USD/SEK rose 0.98% to 9.6320.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 97.838.
