Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.83%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which rose 4.70% or 1.79 points to trade at 39.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.83% or 3.75 points to end at 101.70 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 3.73% or 5.4 points to 150.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 0.40% or 1.2 points to trade at 301.0 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 0.23% or 0.20 points to end at 86.40 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.32% or 0.8 points to 253.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 394 to 217 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.68% or 0.30 to $44.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.13% or 0.06 to hit $45.64 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.94% or 25.25 to trade at $1279.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.12% to 9.9686, while USD/SEK rose 1.06% to 9.0325.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.92% at 97.83.
