Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.83% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 3.47% or 10.0 points to trade at 298.4 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.94% or 1.08 points to end at 37.78 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.43% or 13.0 points to 548.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 1.13% or 0.36 points to trade at 31.57 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) declined 0.14% or 0.20 points to end at 138.20 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was down 0.09% or 0.2 points to 219.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 408 to 297 and 81 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.82% or 0.38 to $46.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.77% or 0.38 to hit $48.96 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.75% or 9.16 to trade at $1217.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.6689, while USD/SEK rose 0.51% to 8.8895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 99.46.
