Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 3.81% or 2.03 points to trade at 55.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.50% or 3.7 points to end at 151.8 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.47% or 12.5 points to 519.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which fell 4.13% or 11.2 points to trade at 259.9 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.30% or 0.95 points to end at 72.00 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) was down 1.00% or 0.60 points to 59.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 289 to 237 and 79 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.69% or 0.35 to $50.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.33% or 0.18 to hit $53.72 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 3.18% or 37.05 to trade at $1126.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 9.7755, while USD/SEK rose 1.64% to 9.4161.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.34% at 103.40.
