Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment Trust, Trading and Power & Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share added 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 50.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.3000 and Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which fell 15.15% or 14.70 points to trade at 82.30 at the close. Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) declined 12.80% or 9.70 points to end at 66.10 and Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) was down 7.69% or 0.100 points to 1.200.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 135 to 62 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 100.00% or 0.100 to 0.200. Shares in Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) fell to all time lows; falling 7.69% or 0.100 to 1.200.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.02% or 0.01 to $51.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $54.24 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.12 to trade at $1252.38 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.23% to 197.910, while USD/LKR fell 0.12% to 152.610.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.26.
