Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Viscofan (MC:VIS), which rose 4.78% or 2.480 points to trade at 54.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Aena Aeropuertos SA (MC:AENA) added 1.76% or 2.80 points to end at 162.00 and Ferrovial (MC:FER) was up 1.33% or 0.255 points to 19.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popular (MC:POP), which fell 6.13% or 0.042 points to trade at 0.643 at the close. Acerinox (MC:ACX) declined 4.23% or 0.570 points to end at 12.900 and Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS) was down 3.30% or 0.243 points to 7.111.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 88 to 75 and 19 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.21% or 2.65 to $1266.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.75% or 0.87 to hit $48.75 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.72% or 0.90 to trade at $51.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.0872, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8425.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.04.
