Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX), which rose 1.94% or 0.34 points to trade at 17.62 at the close. Meanwhile, International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 1.21% or 0.084 points to end at 7.047 and Enagas (MC:ENAG) was up 0.70% or 0.180 points to 25.850 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banco Popular (MC:POP), which fell 3.61% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.667 at the close. Iberdrola (MC:IBE) declined 1.26% or 0.089 points to end at 6.955 and Gamesa (MC:GAM) was down 1.14% or 0.235 points to 20.375.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 75 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) rose to all time highs; up 1.94% or 0.34 to 17.62.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.33% or 4.12 to $1251.38 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.49% or 0.25 to hit $51.22 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.24 to trade at $53.91 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1176, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8643.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.33.
