Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Goods and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Cie Automotive (MC:CIEA), which rose 1.59% or 0.360 points to trade at 23.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Ferrovial (MC:FER) added 1.19% or 0.220 points to end at 18.770 and Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) was up 1.03% or 0.230 points to 22.650 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amadeus IT (MC:AMA), which fell 2.65% or 1.640 points to trade at 60.240 at the close. Grifols SA (MC:GRLS) declined 2.42% or 0.590 points to end at 23.790 and Viscofan (MC:VIS) was down 2.28% or 1.100 points to 47.140.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 64 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ferrovial (MC:FER) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.19% or 0.220 to 18.770.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.14% or 1.75 to $1291.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.81% or 0.42 to hit $51.17 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.09% or 0.66 to trade at $59.82 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1477, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8907.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.135.
